I am delighted to be leading LISG at a time when the UAE is embracing innovation and change and providing exciting opportunities for young women to play key leadership roles. There are many young, inspirational Emirati females leading the way such as Reem Al Marzouqi the inventor and engineer, Nora al-Matrooshi the first female astronaut, and Nouf Abdelhamid Omar the pilot, to name a few. As a female leader, I am equally inspired by young women around the world who are being empowered to make a difference and leave their legacy.
Furthermore, I know how important it is to ensure that our students are ready and equipped for the future. Here at LISG, we are passionate about empowering our students to think big and to understand that ambition has no limits. We want to foster a generation of lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and creative problem solvers who will be the change makers and problem solvers of the future. The 2020 Future of Jobs report by the World Economic Forum highlights that in the next five years, new jobs will be reserved for data analysts, scientists, and software and applications developers. The LISG graduates are fully prepared for this; they have chosen to study Computer Engineering, Medicine, Physics, Astronomy, and Aerospace Engineering. We look forward to celebrating their success and achievements in the near future.
Our multinational, highly qualified teachers are skilled in using a range of online platforms, interactive resources in an inclusive and supportive environment; whether online or in school, our teachers deliver a high-quality curriculum ensuring that students are happy, challenged and supported. Liwa’s success story starts from the year 1992. Over the past thirty years, we have built profound recognition and received laurels for academic excellence. We have been continuously delivering effective, communicative, and qualitative education to meet the changing demands, and preferences in the education sector.
While our academic programs are in line with international standards, our educational approach is inspired by the UAE culture and the UAE national identity. In line with this, and in response to our stakeholders’ increasing demands for a Girls’ school that adheres to the cultural values of the UAE society yet simultaneously offers internationally-recognized education, we took the initiative during the academic year 2014-2015 of establishing a Girls School in Al Bateen area for PreK-12, that has been operated by Liwa International School starting the academic year 2016-2017.
Our ability to keep Liwa’s vision on par with International standards has brought about a fresh perspective, dynamism, strength, and pragmatism among our faculty members and students toward education.
