Emirati Etiquette (Friday Theme)

The morning began with the scent of Arabic coffee and the sound of cheerful voices greeting one another with Al Salam Alaikom. On this Friday, Liwa International School for Girls celebrated السنع الإماراتي, pronounced Al San’a Al Emarati, which means Emirati Etiquette. The phrase represents the deep values of respect, generosity, and grace that define Emirati culture and daily life.

Girls arrived proudly wearing their traditional clothes. The abaya, the sheila, and the shimmer of gold jewelry reflected not only beauty but belonging. The school felt like a traditional Emirati majlis, where warmth and good manners filled the air.

Throughout the morning, students from different grades presented a live acting show that brought Al San’a Al Emarati to life. They performed scenes from everyday situations that showed how Emirati etiquette is practiced with care and respect. Students demonstrated how to greet elders with Al Salam Alaikom, how to offer Arabic coffee using the right hand, and how to show appreciation when receiving guests. Others acted out moments of polite conversation, humility, and hospitality that spoke volumes about their upbringing and values.

The performances were full of pride, laughter, and admiration.
