Emirati Women Day

August 28 was a day filled with pride, joy, and togetherness at LISG. Emirati Women’s Day is a special moment in our year when we pause to celebrate the women who shape our country, our families, and our future.

From the very start of the day, the school was alive with excitement. The halls were filled with decorations, posters, and words that honored Emirati women. Everywhere you looked, there was a sense of pride and appreciation.

In the Elementary Section, students prepared a beautiful show during assembly. They shared poems, stories, and songs about strong Emirati women who inspire them. Their performances brought smiles, laughter, and even a few happy tears from teachers and parents.

High school students joined in with creative ideas of their own. They designed displays, shared reflections, and spoke about the role of women in shaping the UAE. Many took the lead on social media, posting about the day and what it meant to them, showing how proud they were to be part of this celebration. It was also heartwarming to see students and parents bringing thoughtful gifts to share with friends and teachers. The small gestures carried a big meaning of kindness, appreciation, and unity. Many students came dressed in traditional Emirati clothing, adding even more beauty and color to the day.

Everywhere you turned, you could feel the pride of being part of a community that celebrates women and the values they stand for. Emirati Women’s Day reminded us that strength, grace, and leadership are not just stories of the past.
