On September 22, 2025, LISG hosted a sustainability workshop in collaboration with ADEK for Grade 6 students. The session focused on building awareness around the responsible use of electricity and water, encouraging students to understand how small actions can make a real difference.
The workshop was led by a sustainability consultant who spoke about the importance of protecting the UAE’s environment and the role young people play in shaping a more sustainable future. Through a clear and engaging presentation, the speaker highlighted five daily habits students can adopt to reduce waste, save energy, and use resources wisely.
The discussion quickly became interactive as students shared their own ideas and experiences. They asked thoughtful questions about how to make better choices at home and in school, reflecting their growing sense of responsibility.
At the end of the session, students signed a sustainability pledge, committing to care for the environment and take part in preserving the natural resources of the UAE. This symbolic act turned the lesson into a personal promise, giving each student a sense of ownership and pride.
The workshop was a valuable experience that blended learning with reflection. It reminded students that sustainability begins with awareness, and that every mindful decision contributes to a better, cleaner, and more responsible future for all.
