Why sustainability matters at LISG

At LISG, sustainability means more than protecting the environment. It prepares our students for the future by teaching them that saving water, reducing energy, cutting plastic use, and recycling are all part of everyday responsibility. When these habits are practiced at school, students see how small actions can create real change.

Sustainability matters because it protects our planet for future generations, strengthens our culture of care, and connects what students learn in the classroom to the world around them. It also shows them that they have the power to lead and make a difference.

Our commitment is closely aligned with the UAE’s national goals, including Net Zero 2050, the outcomes of COP28 hosted in Dubai, and the wider vision for a green and sustainable economy. By embedding these values in daily school life, we ensure our students grow as active contributors to the UAE’s sustainable future.

For LISG, sustainability is not a short term project. It is part of who we are.
